Global music and entertainment PR agency Satellite414 are looking for a permanent Junior Publicist.
The junior publicist role will support across a combination of entertainment, music, brand and screen (acting) clients – therefore it is vital that candidates demonstrate enthusiasm for working across a diverse range of clients and with a diverse range of media outlets.
Strong communication, adaptability, attention to detail and the ability to manage an ever-shifting workload is essential as the candidate will be working directly with colleagues at all levels, including senior management and the CEO.
Due to the nature of the entertainment industry, the role requires the willingness to occasionally work out of hours in order to meet the needs of our clients. As the Junior Publicist will work across the team, the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism is a must.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Duties and Responsibilities
Providing publicity support across client accounts – working alongside Publicists, Senior Publicists and Heads of Dept and CEO to ensure we are delivering excellent results for clients at all times
Drafting press releases and press plans
Collation and research of contacts and press targets
Pitching and securing press coverage
Coordination of artist promo – drafting press schedules, compiling requests etc
Coordination of shoot logistics
Covering artist promo – attending shoots, recordings, gigs, events, red carpets and so on.
Collating our press results and feedback to showcase our work to external stakeholders - press packs, reports and more
Management of client assets – working with Team Assistant to ensure that client folders and information is archived correctly
Assist on external events such as red carpets, awards ceremonies and more
Building new contacts and maintaining positive relationships across the industry to ensure opportunities for clients and new business
Research projects as required
General business administrative support – supporting the Team Assistant where necessary
Specifications Required:
At least 12 months experience in a press assistant role
Can detail entertainment campaigns that they have assisted on previously
London based
Familiar with Macbooks
Ability to use Microsoft Office, Google Docs and ideally Canva
High standard of verbal and written English
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with an attention to detail
Strong organisational and time management skills
Desire and willingness to take ownership and control of tasks
Open to handle projects outside their area of expertise
Ability to work effectively and collaboratively
Diligent and dependable with a strong work ethic
An understanding of SATELLITE414’s entire business and the wider entertainment industry
Professional with the ability to build trust and rapport with the team
Ability to work well independently and contribute to the team culture
Demonstrated ability to think clearly and quickly under pressure in fast-paced environment

Working conditions
The role is carried out from 9.30am – 6pm, Monday – Friday from our London head office
We offer hybrid working (three days in the office) but due to the nature of the role, there must be flexibility as required
20 days holiday plus bank holidays and Christmas shutdown
